91 amigo exhaust manifold problems

I have a crack in my exhaust manifold (1991 Amigo, 2.6L 4-cyl manual trans), and I'm trying to find a replacement. What other models would have exhaust manifolds interchangeable with the amigo? I pulled a manifold off of a '90 trooper 2.6L today at the wrecking yard, assuming it was the same engine, but it doesnt seem to fit my amigo. The top section coming from the engine block is the same, but the back end going into the exhaust pipe is different. A friend of mine guessed it has something to do with california emissions controls and some kind of modification they had to do.

I dunno, its really bothering me, and most of the manifolds available online say "except california models."

Any words of wisdom? Know of a site where i could pick up a usable manifold? Thanks

See how the outlet on this one is one hole going into the tailpipe? I have seen others that claim to fit a 89-91 amigo also, but there are 2 outlet holes, like this one.

I don't understand how to tell what will actually work except for just pulling the manifold off. The dealership told me any 88-92 2.6 L engine should have the same engine and same manifold, but this obviously isnt true since I have seen different shaped exhaust manifolds for the same car.

confused.

turns out its because of california emission controls. the california manifold is really rare now and after checking every wrecking yard in the sacramento area (incl stockton, lodi, elk grove, rancho cordova etc) i ended up buying a new one from the dealer

damn you california
