i just took out a stock DPFI engine from my 91 civic Dx and dropped a JDM D15B MPFI. The swap is done and the car performs excellent. Im thinking about dropping a turbo and also the kit (wastegate, boost controller, blow-off valve, ignition system, intercooler, etc.) but i just dont know what size turbo will perform good with my D15B. Does size matter?
Im thinking about buying a turbo from a 91 Isuzu Impulse off my friend, if not im thinking of getting one off a Saab. What do ya think?

Im also rebuilding a D16Z6, but its a DPFI. Can i put an intake manifold form other generation engines to improve Hp. or should i just buy a skunk intake manifold?

yes,
size does matter,
I'm not too familar with turbo kits myself, but a good mechanic told me & showed me the difference's between a smaller size turbo (inner diameter)
& a larger size,I may be corrected by someone else, but he said that a smaller size diameter is better with a smaller size fan,he said somthing like it spins quicker(being that its smaller, thus pushing more air at higher speeds) ,but like I said,I'm not a turbo user,(wish I was :crying:)
if it was me,I think BIGGER is BETTER! (I'm talkin bout turbo too)
but also,I've heard that a turbo off of a volvo with minor modifications will work, getting a turbo off another car like the ones you listed, would be cheaper to buy then to buy an aftermarket turbo kit,
but I would still go with the aftermarket, the looks & boost is much more appreciated!
Then about your d16z6,A skunk 2 mani would be a great match!

of course size matters why do you think someone would choose a t88 over a t25

Size matter. It all depend on your preference. Small turbo offer better throttle responce, almost no turbo lag.
But you will suffer at higher rpm and max power. If you autocross or street driving t25 will be fun very peppy. A larger turbo offer better pull and max power at high rpm but you have slight turbo lag. Keep in mind what is you max hp before motor failure. Why buy a turbo that can support 400+ hp if you motor can only haddle 200hp. Unless you going to buy ball bearing turbo the bigger the more lag. Dont think about max power but a smoother power band.

greedy uses a mitsu TDO4H15G turbo it is a good compromise betreen throttle response/spool vs max power. I miss the t25 i had, almost instant boost but powe flatten out after 6000 rpm, now with the new turbo it pull hard mid to high rpm. Oh yeah you must also find out what the effeciency of the turbos are. It will affect hot weather driving due to intake air tem spiking due to air inversion on smaller turbo

I think what he's asking for is the difference in the engine size. 1.5L vs. 1.6L.

what differ is 0.1 liter going to make in engine size. Most is 10hp different. Flow charateristic is similar for turbo. It's not like comparing a 1.6 vs 2.0 or larger.
