Can I take the 2.8L TBI unit off my Jimmy and replace it with a straight carb from a 83 2.8L Blazer?

Should work, although the 2.8 carbs were problematic and of course your elec fuel pump has too high a pressure for your carb and in some states you will fail the emissions inspection. Can't see a good reason for this, the TBI set up was much better than that carb.

TBI broke in half at injectors 300$ for new one, and I have a 2.8L carbed with a broken connecting rod. I like the TBI better too but I need a way to work.....thanks for the help
