Window regulator replacemant on a '02

Getting ready to replace the window regulator/motor on my wifes '02 Silverado and was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks that would be helpful? Looks to be straight forward I guess but I am wondering if it is easier to do it with the window down, up, or halfway. Thanks
