smoking when car is still cold

whenever i start my car from not driving it for about 2 days or more it burns oil like crazy until it warms up a bit. im hoping its not the piston rings and preaty sure it isnt couse if it was it would be burning smoke all the time. anyone have any idea what i could do? thanks.

If you're burning oil on start up, it's most likely your valve stem seals.
If it's just blowing steam on start up and your coolant level doesn't change, then it's probably just condensation in the exhaust system.

Thats what mine does too. Its usuelly condensation. It should go away when driving for a while. It gets really cold and wet here in oregon so its pretty common.
