How to Acclerate even faster

Hello I have a 1996 buick Rivera s/c....I was wondering......when I acclerate really fast like just to show my firends I put it in "1st" then I hit it and when the motor gets louder I shift it to "2" then hit it again and then D.......is that like really really bad for my car to do that once in a while?
