supercharger on 3800 engine 1992

what kind of mods would i need to do to mount a super charger on my 1992 oldsmobile eighty eight royalle?? id like to do it as a project and i can obtain one from a junk yard

You pretty much cant unless you get a supercharged 3800 swap. Somethin about the intake or something being different.

the reason you can't put a supercharger, or a turbocharger is because the fuel regulator runs on a negative pressure just before the intake manifold... i think

I can't be absolutely positive on this, but I don't think you would necessarily have to swap the whole engine, just the intake manifold and belt. The engine block from a 92 3800 should be the same as later models, or at least real close, since both were series I 3800's. I don't think they used the series II's for the supercharged engines at first but I could be wrong.

You should also investigate wether or not the computer is set up to work with it. Also check to see if you need to change the injectors to a higher pressure injector for compensation.

it would be alot more difficult to do that id rather just do the whole motor and tranny swap. and then swap the whole wiring harness and computer. it would take alot less time than changing the heads and exhaust and then have a custom computer made for it to work.
