Mazda Rx7 turbo II starting problem

I own Mazda Rx7 for a bout 3 month now and even with all the headachs and money that I am putting in to it I have to say its an excellent sport car.

However I am having a problem with it once again. It couldnt start.
Apparently it doesnt even want to spin the starter as I turn the key. I totally blame myself for this and I tell you why.

I have an exaust problem and for some reason its getting louder and louder each day (not that I dont like it but still) so I was thinking of fixing this problem and this morning started the car and not to warm the exsuast up shut it down after 30 seconds from starting it. After that it doesnt want to start. Now my first thought would be to try and check the wirring to the starter etc but since I dont have such wide experience with rx7 I thought I better ask someone who might have had this problem already before I take any action. I will try to pushstart it tomorrow ofcuz but for the time being I am asking all of you who might know what the problem is answer here and give me an advice.

I be greatful for all the comments that any of you might leave.

THanks so much in advance.

NEVER NEVER NEVER shut off a RX7 cold. You have a flooded motor now.

Also, sounds like you need to replace the starter. Thats common with TII's as they get hard to start with all the head that is transfered into the fuel rail. It vapourizes the fuel in the rail and causes problems with starting. Bad idea on Mazdas part, but meh.

Push starting will get it going, expect some smoke from the exhaust tho.

Also, get that exhaust leak fixed soon, RX7's sound better with an exhaust. LOL

thank you for replying soo quick FDTT.

gosh the last thing I want to do is pay more money in to it :( but looks like I have no other choice. have to admit I have had the simular problem once already and it got fixed by itself. I suspect the the wirring to the starter has some sort of problem and will look in to it tomorrow.

so just to make sure....... if I turn the key and nothing happens its either wirring or a starter, right?

also could you please if you know tell me where the starter located?

thanks

Well if there is nothing on key turn its probably the starter syliniod or a short in the stator that is causing the problem. Have a close look over the wiring tho, RX7+bad wiring= parts car for me.
