OK i am getting ready to finish up my 3.4L DOHC in my 1987 fiero. this is the specs of the turbo i will be using. does it seem to be a good size? i have been told it may be a little big.

the engine is a 93 with 94-95 cam carriers running on a 94-95 ECM and harness. has P&P heads, intakes, TB and ported exhaust manifolds. also has a 255LPH fuel pump, and 36# injectors. i will be running a constant 8psi daily and prolly turn it up to 12 or so at the track.

SPECS:

.66 A/R cold
1.05 A/R hot

Turbine Wheel:
Exducer: 3.05"
Major : 3.46"

Compressor Wheel:
Exducer: 2.56"
Mayor : 3.90"

jeezus tap dancing christ...thats huge!
As a suggestion.....i have one word for you-LAG. dependent upon the backpressure of these manifolds of yours, i could see your lag being huge-i'm talking 5 to 7 and a half seconds. move on down to a much, MUCH smaller turbo-or you wont end up using it until 4 and a half to 5 thousand RPM. sorry to burst your bubble.

on the garrett turbocharger page somewhere i think there's a pdf that shows the roper size of turbo for various engine sizes at various boost levels. i think the site is http://www.egarrett.com just look around the page and you might find it, i haven't been in a while so i don't remember exactly where it is.
