Ok this isnt a hardcore rant but I am bored so here it goes anyway. I cant sleep anymore, if I actually sleep I usually get about 2-3 hours sleep each night and that sleep doesnt do me much good and I wind up dragging ass all day. But every few days I find myself sleeping for about 12 or so hours straight, nothing can wake me up. For example the bug guy came and sprayed my apartment a few weeks ago while I was asleep....I never knew he was there until I found the note saying that he sprayed that day. Tonight is one of those nights where I cant sleep, whats worse is its christmas which means even though im going to feel like crap I have to put up with screaming youngins most of the day. I have found I actually sleep well when I am either totally trashed out of my mind or when im not sleeping alone. Getting trashed every night gets old after a while. The problem with not sleeping alone is that I am a bastard, I dont do well with relationships and wind up having to break things off pretty quickly because I get freaked out. So that ruins my chance of finding someone I am happy with to sleep with for more than a week. I guess I am cursed to sit here without sleep at my dads house (which the couch isnt that comfortable anyway) hoping to get the christmas stuff over with quickly so I can sit down with a few stout glasses of egg nog and fall asleep watching the james bond marathon with my uncle (*sigh* what a great christmas tradition.) until I go home and finally get some decent sleep.

I do that during weeks we have school. I'll finally fall asleep at ~2-3 AM, wake up at 630, drag ass. I'll do that for a couple days, then sleep kinda catches up and I go home and sleep, wake up and go to school the next morning which is anywhere from 12-14 hours. its 5:40 here(est time). So it is christmas morning.
I want sleeping pills.

I was having problems sleeping for years. all through high school and beyond. I'd get into bed around 11pm, fall asleep at 1am wake up around 5am. I still have trouble sleeping but sleep aids have helped a lot. unisom usually works well for me. If it gets bad enough, a doctor can prescribe something.

i have trouble sleeping too sometimes, my brain just won't stop running and i end up just lying awake thinking all night. i just smoke a lil bit of weed and i'm good, it turns the brain right off.

Some of this is IMO stress, from work, school etc.
I find that if I get any more than my comfortable 50 hours a week at work, I cannot sleep well.
Actually I fall asleep just fine, but wake up after about 3-4 hours, and cannot sleep anymore.

Any of you guys ever experience the thing where you fall asleep and keep waking up like once every hour or so? I hate that crap, I love sleep.

I'm in college, so of course I have a screwy sleep schedule. My roommate stays up til 3 or 4 everynight, which is fine for him becuase he can nap whenever he wants to, he falls asleep like nothing. I, on the other hand, try to get in bed by 1 if possible, which isn't very often. I'm home for break now and sleeping like 12 hours a night, and I have a feeling its really gonna suck when I try to adjust to the lack of sleep again.

How many double shot espresso cappucino latte mocha sugar death cups from Starbucks to you drink a day? My co-worker used to have trouble sleeping until he figured out that he was consuming too much caffeine. Coke, Starbucks, even chocolate candy has caffeine in it...
...and (speaking from experience) intoxicating yourself so that you "pass out" every night instead of falling asleep - that's not good. It leads to dependancy.

work out or something; you need to get rid of that excess energy.
as for the sleeping pill thing; anyone here ever try any?
i want to but everyone keeps stating it is easy to form a dependency. i've read somewhere that working out before going to bed is a bad thing to do. I believe it was off of an insomnia website. as for dependancy on pills, try not to take them every night. if it seems necessary, use different brands. being that some makers use different levels of drugs, theres less chances of "getting hooked" on a certain one. When it says ONE, take ONE, i'm 5'9 215lb (a real fat ass), it'll usually put me out for 13+ hours.

I have a bad habbit of taking mid-day naps that last upwards of 6 hours. I'm wide awake by the time Fullmetal Alchemist comes on at like 1:30. I feel like hammered dog s**t when i get up the next morning, if i even sleep. I recently got hooked back on the initial d series, which gets me so worked up i can't sleep...anime is ruining me. haha. Sleep; what is sleep?

4 A.M. and I haven't slept yet. I go back to school tomorrow, first day back from break. Gonna stay up all night I guess. I've been watching CNN about the 13 miners in W.V. that have been trapped 276 feet under ground(very sad I know these numbers). Oh, and the wildfires in Oklahoma.
Fun shit..(sarcasm implemented here)

Yep they were in the mine just about 24 hours ago(6:30 on monday). They don't know how, but an explosion occured and debris blocked the mine tunnels.

wanna giggle? when i really need to sleep...example, i have to work the next day or somethign...and i can't drink, i take benedryl. Now, I take 2, which is good cause i'm not the biggest person alive. but since most people are larger than me, i'd say take 3 or 4 and you'll be out. but make sure the room isnt too dry where you're sleeping, cause it'll also fuck with your histamines and you'll wake up with your nose and throat dry as hell.
