I think it looks great. I dont know what was going on with that design you had taped off in the first couple pics, but personally i didnt like it. Is this single stage or base/clear? You seem to have a good hand when it comes to painting though. props

I'm kind of confused as to what color the car really is. In the first pic it's purple, then silver, then orange. Can you post a picture of the finished product?

aight, the first pic was painted purple because that's what the swiss cheese design is gonna look like. you wont see any purple except for the swiss cheese pinstriping on the finish product. my boi who painted the car wanted to just see a purple CRX so he painted the whole thing purple lol. oh yeah, i just woke up so bare wit me as i write this... the reason why you see orange is because the swiss cheese is what's giving my car the 2 tone look. The front/top is candy silver, the bottom/rear is candy orange, and the swiss cheese fill is candy gold. i'll take more pics today as it should be finished on Christmas

yep, half silver n' half orange, with the candy gold swiss cheese giving the CRX the two tone effect.

Not trying to hate on it or anything, but I have a feeling there's going to be just way too much going on with it. 4 different colors on the car is going to make it look weird. But then again no one has seen the final look yet, so maybe I'm wrong.

yeah, i thought the same thing CivicSpoon. the guy who painting it wanted to do something custom so other people will want to get their car painted by him. But once i saw him start working on it in person, it looks a lot better than how it looks on the shitty Sidekick 2 and Treo 650 camera.

Wow. That's one of the first cars that the clear tailights look pretty good on. In fact, on that car the clears look better than stock would. That's my opinion anyways.

actually i agree with clawhammer, thoughs clear tails do look ok, better without the center clear piece, maybe even painted inside over the crome to match the cars color. still want to see pix of the crx though.

almost, we got side tracked with my boi's pulsar motor getting shipped to the usa n' having to tow it from NJ to CT :p . the clear still isn't sprayed onto the car, but i'll pull the car out n' take a pic of the car as a whole either today or tomorrow. i haven't seen how the car is gonna look when i pull it out, so i'm not sure if it'll look good or not. the paint itself looks good though.

I don't know what kind of paint you are using but normally after the base sits for 24 hours you have to scuff it and reapply the base before you clear it. I'd hate to see you have todo that but then again I still think it would look better the orange or silver color by itself.

i'm using candy paint. i definitely agree with you guys opinions. i know it's my car, but i didn't pick the paint scheme for it. I wanted a blue color, then wanted a all silver color. The person that picked the paint scheme was the person who painted it. he's from texas and painted his altima with airbrush skulls and swiss cheese. he used candy paint also on his car. anyways, what you see there was his idea, he charged 1,000 to do it. Since he don't got his altima to show off his work anymore, he atleast wants to do custom work on mine so people can ask him to paint their cars whatever color.

The CRX was a pos...from the first day i bought it lol...i give the guy who painted my car props for fixing dents, rust, holes in rear bumper, molding body kit, and painting the car.

as for the hood, that's getting painted with the jams soon. *the car isn't done yet with the paint, and the finish product* i'm planning on buying a CF hood sooner or later. oh, and for under the hood, it's painted silver...of course i'm not gonna just paint the outside of the car n' keep the inside looking stock. here's a pic of the engine bay without the motor.

i respect the work put into it, and im sure its nicely done, but if i came to my friends house after he painted my car and it looked like that I'd seriously kick some ass.
