Twin-Charging an MK1

I own a 88' MR2 and have been looking to upgrade the car, and now that I finally have some money together I need to decide what to do with it. I have heard from numerous people that these cars can be Twin-Charged (both supercharger and turbo), I have seen that done to a 93' Civic hatch and I was really impressed with its performance. Im just wondering if anyone has ever seen/owned an MK1 with this type of set-up? and how much trouble and money would someone have to go through to get something like this running right? Thank you everyone for any information ahead of time.

There are a couple twincharged MK1s.
HKS made a kit in which the primary piece was the manifold to make this work. Either way, you are talking about a huge job. It would probably be more simple to drop the 3SGTE engine into the car which has also been done a lot of times.
Either way, good luck with your project.

Thanks for the HKS info. The 3SGTE engine swap is one of my top choices, I like the idea of twin-charging because of the performance it gives the car. For now I am hunting around the local shops to see how much an engine swap would cost or if posible try to find someplace that has a kit for twin-charging the car and compare which one would benefit it more.

Look up the book called "How to tune and modify Engine Management Systems"
They twincharged a MKII 3SGTE and have an EXTENSIVE writeup on it.
