1995 taurus clock not working

wanted to check if clock has power but dont know how to remove it to check..All fuses are good..any ideas of what to do next..thanks

It's been awhile since I had my 1993 Taurus SHO, but if I remember correctly, you could get to the clock wiring by removing the HVAC controls. My SHO had the Electronic Automatic Temperature Controls (EATC) but I don't think that would have any effect.
I also think the backlighting for the clock was similar to that of older Ford car stereos. On a sunny day, or using a flashlight, check for evidence that that clock is still working. Look at it at a sharp angle with bright lighting. If you can see the correct numbers dimly, then your backlighting isn't working. That could either be caused by not having power to the backlight when the key is turned on, or because the backlight bulb is burned out.
