What do I need then to make a 2006 muntang have 1000 HP?

Gatta go with twin turbos. You will need all reinforced internals with reduced CR pistions, a fully upgraded fuel system, large intercooler, ECU upgrade, water/alcohol injection, cooling system, and the balls to actualy hit the gas :evillol: All told you are looking at a 20-30k project even before you start rebuilding your driveline. What do you want 1000hp for drag racing? Or are you trying to find the fastest way to die LOL. If all you want it for is dragracing you could do it with a supercharger and alot of NOS, but you are still looking at 12-15k I would think.
If you want to go the turbo route (which is what I would do) don't get an 06 get a 99 cobra HP already makes a 1000+hp turbokit for it that will save you alot on fabracating custom parts. thats my :2cents:

beyond loaded managed to mod a contour to 364rwhp and 410ft lb of torque why don't we compare that with your imaginary 1000hp mustang? Go to HP proformance they will be more than happy to anwser all your 1000hp mustang question thats what they do. They might even install it for you for a price.

also you can get a big turbo a put it on with some other modifiacations.

Powerglide they are supposed to handel up to 1200hp but they are only two speed built for drag rasing, look them up but don't quote me on this I am no dragracer
