I was driving home from work today when all of the sudden I tried to accelerate and i heard this real loud knocking sound and the car wouldn't go anywhere. It doesn't stall, and if I go real easy on the gas it's fine, but when I accelerate normally it seizes and knocks! What the hell is it!? It scared me....you can only imagine the traffic I was in. God I almost had a heart attack. If you guys have any ideas please tell me....

Yup, check oil pressure first. If its just a knock when you first accelerate and slow down. It could be U-joint , tranny mount or rear issue but from the sound of it. It sounds like a major engine issue such as a spun bearing.

She's got fresh oil, I changed it yesterday. I checked the plug and the filter, no problems.....If I hit the gas easy it doesn't happen, only when I slam my foot down.

not oil,as in clean. Oil as in pressure. How much oil pressure is she making cause I actually spun a bearing on my original engine in my car. The same exact day I changed the oil in it. So that doesn't really always matter as much as some people think.

i had a similar problem with my camaro one time, when i accelerated anywhere near hard, there was a loud knock and the car sputtered hard.. replaced the o2 sensors, no more problems.

Sounds like the trans mount is broken and the trans is hitting the tunnel when you tromp it.
Get under the car with a jack and jack up the trans by the tailshaft, look to see if it lifts off the trans crossmember mount at all, if it does,,,get a new mount.
