ramhorn mani question

iv done some welding in the past and im getting a tig/mig welder in about a week and i am planning on trying to make my own ramhorns just for practice i probably wont use them unless they turn out really good but i was just wandering if anybody knew what size piping, piping thickness, and grade of steel to use. and if there are any plans floating around the net anywhere so i have more than just pictures to go buy.

that's a good question to go ask on www.Honda-tech.com They have a Welding/Fabrication section on there. Also you could try some shops that sell DIY parts like www.straightlinespecialties.com
