I dropped a screw in the head! Help!

K so i was changing out the valve cover gaskets on my 1996 concorrde 3.3L. In order to remove the valve covers, you have to remove the intake manifold. well i removed the top part of it, and when i wasp utting everything back together, one of the fuel rail bolts fell into one of the intake runners which leads into the combustion chamber. The bolt is actually pretty fat, and about an inch long, so i think its too big to fall through one of the valves (if the intake valves are open).

The intake runner goes straight down, then makes about a 90 degree turn to the side, so i can't see anything with a flashlight. I tried tieing a magnet to a string and throwing it down there, and taking some copper wire and pushing it as far back as i could, but i've got nothing.

If i leave it there, i don't think it would get lodged in one of the valves because its too big, but i can't get it out!!! Any help?

The bolt has to be removed, if any part of it gets past the valves it will stick it open and possibly get damaged by the piston smacking it. Your gonna have to pull the intake manifold back off and look down each of the intake ports of the head, pray it is resting against a valve and not dropped through, because then your pulling the heads too.

You may be able to buy a better pick up tool than a magnet on a string.

I have a tool which uses a flexible copper wire with a magnet on the end, and a flexible cable thing with a tiny mechanical claw/nosepicker on the end.
