2001 Sportage with ~72,000 miles
Recently, the rear main has started leaking like a sieve. This is in addition to a drip from the clutch slave cylinder. I'm only moderately familiar with this engine. How big a deal would it be to replace the rear main in the driveway? Can it be done from under the car, or is pulling the engine a must? I can't really afford another expensive garage repair, but the thing is ruining the driveway. It leaks worse than my 12-year-old pickup. Any recommendations? Procedure?

Remove engine or trans.
I would check to make sure the oil filter adapter isnt whats leaking.
Its pretty common and leaks quite a bit.
