Overhead dome light not turning out, shorted wiring, repaired short, cost $110. Meanwhile a couple months later I noticed the alarm system wasn't working, the dealer replaced the alarm system with a 2005 model- $200, and the complete wiring harness. Had to be taken back for missing steering column lamp, also system wasn't funtional.

Clean and/or lube the switch in your door(s).
Switch is located in the slot by the latch.
Just spray into the slot.
Dealer told me to use WD 40, however I just used a spray lube that I had.
The light switch is located in this mechanism as you will not find the normal plunger switch.
Doing this solved many problems for me, at virtually no cost.
