02 stratus 2.7L HGelp Please

im thinking about buying a 02 stratus w/ a 2.7L. I had a concord w/ a2.7L and the motor blew w/ 70,000 miles. Am I making a mistake or have they started making the 2.7L any better than the previos years. The vehicle has 87,000 miles. does any one have any info that may come in helpful. Thank you for your time
