Anti theft code number

Had someone work on the Jetta. Removed battery terminal b-4 checking to see if they had the reset code available. Now no tunes. How do I get the code ?? VW wants $50.00 for it,bad news...Can anyone help ???

Call around to other dealers. A buddy of mine had this happen to him and he called several dealers until he found one that would do it for free. He says that they needed to have the serial number off of the radio before it could be reprogrammed.
