What engine to replace 94 2.2L

I really need to get this car running again.

I am being told by the local junk yards that only a 94-95 2.2L is a direct replacement.

And I haven't been able to find one locally.

What else can I use?

Well, I bought a 94 2.2L with 84,000 on it. Got it for $500.

So far I've.

Installed the engine, with all new hoses, belt, air filter, fuel filter, fuel hoses from tank to filler neck, replaced the heater core, new radiator, rear shocks, front struts, passenger side half shaft, serviced the tranny, replaced the drivers outside door handle.
