Alright here's the problem. Somedays my passenger side daytime running lights won't work. I first found out it wasn't working when i was in traffic i got behind a vehicle and seen it wasn't working. So i was going go to autozone and pick me another one. I check to see if the driver side one was working ,and i seen the passenger side daylight running light was also working now. Now today it did it again. Here's my question though, everytime i drive around town i see other silverados with the same problem. the passenger side will be out and the driver side will be working. Tomorrow i'm going see if it's going come back on, if it doesn't , what kind of bulb do you guys recommend ? Also if it comes back on what's your take on the problem ?

could be the filament in the bulb re-attatching itself so it works again. take the bulb out and give it a rattle, see if teh filament comes loose. anyway i think GM has some heavy duty bulbs for em. otherwise there should be a number like 1174 3157, somethin like that 4 digits. go to az and get another or take the bulb with you.

Honestly, I recommend you pull both bulbs and forget about them... that or some silverstars.

The Daytime Running Lights are 3157. silverstars are $20 from most places. check out ebay for more options. I just got a set of Xenon white/blue Hi and Lo beams for $20 shipped. and looking at a set of white DRL for 12 shipped.
Im may just pull out the DRL and leave them out. But I was thinking would it leave a big opening in the back of the headlight that would let in moisture and make the light look nasty.

I put orange bulbs for my '01 in place of the drl and I had the pass pop 3 times. Then I dried out the lens and sealed the socket to the lens and never had problems again.
