ok...so i own a 99 passport. i also own a 91 caprice police special.

you may know where i'm going with this...

hypothetically speaking...what would all be involved if i was to pull the v6 and drop in the 350 v8? i have the complete caprice (trans/wire harness/ computer..everything)

do you think it would even fit? maybe with custom headers re-routed. extreme body lift??? a custom driveshaft. bigger radiator. cut some fenders, install a tall hood scoop...basically spending the next year under the hood...

maybe even lengthening the chassis on the front to allow clearance (then filling the empty space on the body panels to cover it up) what kind of monster could you create?

would the trans hook up to the 4x4 house? could the housing even hold that power?

i'm not saying that i'm taking on this project. i just wanted to know if it was ever possible to do with some skill--and what would be involved for the dashboard stuff (speedo, tac, water, --would i need new sending units?)

am i just talking nonsense on this thread???

You should talk to Randii on 4x4wire in the isuzu section. He just put a 5.0 in an amigo.

I think Randii is about 5 years into his swap ....

You can do anything with the right tools and skillz, but that would be ALOT of work.
