I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what could be wrong with my truck. It just started leaking fuel about 2 days ago. It is a slow leak and only seems to really leak when it is parked and shut off. I looked at the fuel tank and could not see any holes or cracks in the tank. I filled the tank up on Monday and have maybe driven it 3 miles since then. The fuel gauge is still on full even with the amount of fuel that seems to be on the driveway. Any ideas what might be wrong? I was just wondering before I pay for a mechanic. Thanks

If you were offroading or ran over something, you could have a puncture in your tank. Try parking the truck over some newspaper or other relatively clean surface. When you check the next morning, you should see the spot where it's leaking, and be able to trace up to the spot on the vehicle it's coming from, then to the leak. Protect your eyes, you don't want gas in them - and I know from experience.
