Delayed Forward & Reverse

When I first start truck Reverse & Drive are delayed a few seconds. Also, there seems like a hard shift between 3rd & 4th.
Will the Sonnax fix kits take care of the transmission delays, or is it time for rebuild?
Also, I left out that my truck has 145k on it. I did a flush and filter change about 8k ago.

The first step would be to change the transmission fluid. I have had good luck with "Seafoam Trans Tune" NAPA auto carries it. Follow the directions on the can. You put it in and it helps gat the junk out when you change the fluid. I have used it on a Explorer with 165K miles and my Blazer with 185K miles. I do not believe in what others say about if its "high miles do not change the fluid it will make it worse or ruin the tranny theory " It has worked well for me.

Can you tell me a little about it, like do you just add it to your transmission and drive for a while, or do you drain the oil and run the transmission with it in?
It's about time that I get mine serviced, and if I can save a few bucks over the transmission shop I should.
