Were swapping a 350 into a 69 nova and we used to have a generator hooked p but now we have an alternator. There are 2 wires fron the alternator does anyone know what they go to. anyone have diagrams? I have get the car to start with the ignition but as soon as I remove the battery cable from the battery it shuts off so the alternator is not continuing the charge. ANY help is apreciated. Please respond.
Thank you.

these are easy
brown wire is for the dash/guage/light
run a wire from the stud on the alt to the soade on the side of the alt case and run another wire from the stud on the back to the battery
done
you need to connect the alt to the battery you also need to find the original wire that feeds from the regulator/battery to the fuse panel
so the car will run off the alternator
youll havr to cut open harness at the regulator and remove some wiring in it and simplify it, run the reds to the battery and remove the blue and white wires or tuck them away, dont use those two for anything
just need the reds and brown now
Thank you.
