Aren't you tired from all my threads? :D

Anyway, this is work in progress. The kit is really simple (no brake disks! - but I have some spares) and I have to say that it's not a very good one. A lot of mould lines and in hard-to-get places. Also thebody is not moulded too well - a lot of filling has to be done. And the front seats .... sigh. Also the panel lines are way too shallow! Anyway, here are some pics of how far I've got. Since then I've filled the sunroof lines (I'm going for a clean look) and gave it a coat of primer. Hope I will have the camera soon and will show more progress pics.

The body:

Most of interior and suspension primed.

Front seats. some plastic and putty should do it, right? :D

And now I need help with paint. I decided on metallic paint and I want to know how you polish it. Do you do anything before applying a clear coat? (can't sand metallic, I know, I know). So do I just ignore the orange peel on the paint and add clear and then sand cut and polish that?

That's all for today, folks, sorry for a long post.

looks good so far. you may need some more putty on the headrest of the right seat. as for the color, if you use metallic paints, in my experience, the metallic paints have less of a chance of creating that dreaded orange peal than the glossy paints. why cant you sand a metallic paint though? i did it and it came out ok.

I know, the seats have been filled some more and still need some more putty

And when you sand metallic paint it starts looking too bronzish :) and that's not good. at least it's my experience.

:D:D:D:D

It's the E34, actually.

Which brings me to the question of wheel. Fujimi included tiny BBS wheels but I would have expected AC Schnitzer to use AC Schnitzer wheels, right? So anyone seen such wheels in 1/24?
