Anyone know where theres a 69' convertable trans am for sale?
There were only 8 made, but I can hope someone is in a bind for money and tearfully parting with one...

Unfortunately, even if someone WAS ready to get off one, you'ld have to battle with the executor of their estate. Dying is about the only way you're gonna convince someone to part with it.
We've heard of the no. 8 car (which was missing for many years) surfacing in Ft. Worth, sealed up in a crate in '69 with like 27 mles on it. Word is, young man bought the car, went to Viet Nam and didn't come home. Dad sealed the car up. In Dad's will, the car was donated to the Petersen Museum (I think...). The family is disputing the will so they can sell the car at auction. If there's ANY truth to this, that car would bring a cool Million... This is "unverified rumor", so take it with a grain of salt.
You COULD "clone" one. All the dress-up goodies for the '69 are available through normal Pontiac resto houses. Just be sure to NEVER try to sell it or show it as a "genuine" article. The former will get you into legal trouble, and the latter might get you a black eye... (:-
'69s are awesome cars, dude. I have a 400 4-speed coupe, myself!
