belt adjuster...Where?

I have a 1996 Jeep GC 4.0 6cyl. I'm trying to replace the power steering pump, but can't loosen the serpentine belt. There appears to be a tension bolt below the pump, however when I loosen it, nothing moves. Does anyone know how to loosen the pulley in order to get the belt off? My other 1996 Jeep GC is notched and the belt easily comes off. This one is made different without a visible loosening bolt. Thanks!

Keep looking. There is a bolt that keeps the adj. bolt tight. I can't describe it exactly without looking at it (it's been a while), but look on the back side of the PS pump, you'll find it.

On mine the locking bolt is on the front under the pully, hard to see.

You remove the tension on the serp by turning the PS adjuster bolt the standard way. (Leftie loosey Righty tighty)

Just had my serp belt off to do the alternator a few weeks ago.
