It did huh... like over near Newhall. My friend trashed his truck there, a tire blew on a curve and messed his sh*t up. He had to wait for like 3 hours just for the tow to show up and get him to Upland.

not near newhall, right above la canada is where it starts and it goes to idlewild etc...

I used to live right up there in Lancaster, the Sierra Highway drive is nice if you want a short trip, but the traffic can be a bitch.

Take the 14 up past Santa Clarita and Newhall, it's in that whole Area called Antelope Valley a.k.a Palmdale. It is like right at the start of the Crest.

i must be at the opposite end because that is way north of me...i have freinds who live right at the bottom of the crest (la canada side)

I'm not too farmiliar with the Inland Empire, I only lived up there for a fews years. I'm in San Diego now.
