I have a 99 Blazer, with a AM FM single disc cd, not sure of the exact model, but I am wondering if the lights behind the buttons are replaceable. My am/fm, and 3 and 6 buttons don't light up anymore.

Probably not a job that you can really do yourself, and you will have 1/2 paid for a new deck after the repair mans bill

Funny - I have this same problem. Rilth might have an answer as he's done lots with modifying stock lights. At night I just reach for the dark spots.

no they cant but if you happen to still have a warranty take it to the dealer and youll get a brand new radio but they are not replaceable

The back lights can be replaced, however, they are very small(surface mount) and require you to soldier them in. If you have a technical school in your area, you can take the radio out yourself and see if you can get the students in the school to do it for you. Replacing the lights is'nt a major job for an electronic tech or student in electronics. I charge 20 dollars for the repair plus a fee for the lights. That is, if the customer takes the radio out. It's usually around 50 dollars total with the labor and parts plus shipping for the lights. I hope this helps.

Thanks.
I think I'll just live with it for now. It's not that bad being out, I can tell what the buttons are without even looking.
Cool picture girlbear.
