my 92 buick power front seat (passenger side) has been going intermittent for some time. Recently it has stopped working completely. My wife was fooling around with it yesterday and actually got it to work... all the way forward, w/ no working reverse. Now I cant get into the drivers side. How do I manually actuate this switch (assembly) so I get into it and drive to the repair shop ? Any thoughts out there ?

What does moving the passenger seat all the way up have to do with the drivers side? Anyway...

If only one direction worked and not the other, check about replacing your switch. I know on my '87, the driver side switch up doesn't work, but that's it (using the front and rear up at the same time has the same effect). My passenger side switch was dead (nothing would work), pulled one from the junkyard and the seat has been working great since.

As long as it seems to want to work in *some* direction, power and motor connections should be okay - so see about replacing that switch.

Edit: clarification, readability
