Will a 96 3.1L replace a 94 2.2L ?

I recently purchased a 94 Century with a 2.2L engine, the engine has a thrown rod. I have already pulled the engine.

I have a chance to buy a wrecked 96 with a 3.1L.

Will the donor engine / tranny fit the 94?

I realize that I would have to also change over the engine harness, and the ecm, etc.

I can get the donor car pretty cheap, will it work? Is it worth it?
