supercharger sounds

This is my first post. I have a 2001 grand prix GTP with 75,000 miles. Today a new sound appeared. I,m pretty sure its the supercharger. The sound is like a growl or wine. Most noticable when you let off the pedal. Any suggestions on what it is and what I need to do.
