cab module

Didn't find anything on this forum about this so I thought I'd share an experience my co-worker had with his 2005 Ram truck.
At random times, his ABS and brake lights would come on solid. They might go out or stay on. Sometimes they'd come go on or off while he's driving or sitting at idle, completely random. They'd both come on at the same time. There were no other symptoms or problems. The truck stopped and ran normally. The speedometer read correctly at all speeds, as well. Since it was under warranty, the dealership ran the diagnostics and they showed that the CAB (Controller - Antilock Brake) module was bad. After replacement, all is OK. Don't know what the code(s) were or where the CAB module is located but that was the problem.
