2001 Altima brake replacement

Hey guys, I'm looking to replace the front pads on my 2001 Altima. Anyone know if the old pads just pop out or are there tricky clips that will get bent when I take them out? I've tried finding some diagrams on the web, but everything seems like it needs to be paid for. I'm using the Wagner "Thermoquiet" brand as replacements. I hope they're good.

There aren't any wire clips. Just bolts. With $5 worth of bananas I think we could train a chimp to replace your pads in one afternoon. Looks like Thermoquiet are the latest Wagner technology. They don't say they are ceramic like OEM. They don't say anything about low dust which is important if you want vented wheels to stay clean. Enviromentally friendly is a cachy non-descriptive advantage. Asbestos free has been a federal regulation prior to 1990. I think they are good. If you don't like them or they turn your wheels redish brown, give the pads back and tell them you don't like Wagner Thermoquiet. They will give your money back.

These ceramic pads are fantastic. You will notice the increase in performance. They don't squeek or make wheels dirty.

JSG -- thanks for the reply and the assessment on the Wagners. I think I'll return them. Do you know if I can lift up the Altima w/ a floor jack from the front or do I have to lift it from each side and put jackstands underneath one wheel at a time?

I use the center member under the engine to jack up my Altima. Open the bleeder screw on the caliper before you push the piston back in. That way you will squirt out the dirtiest brake fluid that is in the caliper and replace with new clean fluid.
