this could be an interesting thread:
When one of your favorite artists are playing, what is the picture you paint in your head?
for example, among other artists, i love Audioslave. when i hear audioslave, i think:
'67 Charger on a straight desert highway, windows open, hand on roof, rockin those aviators, smokin a j, pushing 100mph, riding for hours with no purpose but thie ride itself.

I don't really get specific images too often.. but I see song titles in colors after I've listened to them for a while. Most of Audioslave's songs give off a toxic green and very dark amber.

When i listen to Ramones - Poison Heart, i picture my life, past life, future.. cuz it seems like every word is written bout me =/
I picture every person, object and event I associate the words with
and Ramones - R.A.M.O.N.E.S , and - Do you remember rock .. , i picture these older teenagers, dressed in kneeholed jeans, jeans / leather jackets, sunglasses and dirty sneakers going down this suburb street on a sunny day , mid 70's.. theres caddys, mustangs, old chevys and buicks slowly humming by.. they whistle at some chicks on the sidewalk on the other side of the street.. then they turn in to a music store with a huge poster of 'Born to Run - The all new album by Bruce Springsteen'..
And Blind Melon - No Rain makes me picture grass.. not marijuana.. or maybe both.. i duno, its green anywas :P green grassy fields with some hippies.. just like in the video

I always think of the same thing, sitting back chillin with a glass of wine or a good beer and a fat-ass joint filled with the bright green 'dro. That I can't smoke anymore, cuz of work.

Not really, on all songs. It just depends.

Iron Maiden's "Be quick or be dead" and Kazzer's "Pedal to the metal" make me think about driving around town pulling bootlegger turns, sliding sideways around corners, and roasting tires for entire city blocks running from the police.
Judas Priest's "You've got another thing coming" makes me think about pulling up to a redlight in a bone stock looking car with some kind of 500+ fire breathing monster waiting to be unleashed from under the hood, with the only hint being a slightly louder than normal pur at idle... only to open the electric exhaust cutout to confirm their suspicions a moment or two before the light turns green. :iceslolan

Downfall by Trust Company. When the cymbal(sp?) hits at the beginning i see a AE86 fastback flying around a corner sideways. When the guitar starts, I see the car snapping back the other direction pouring smoke from the tires with flames popping from the tail pipe every time the throttle is released. On the last "Downfall!" I see the car flying into a wide stretch of road spinning out, ending its run and the song.

beer. Most any song is pretty much summed up to beer.
