I'm only 18 and I don't know a lot about cars.... I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question I have. I'm looking at a 98 Grand Prix and the dashboard says "SRS". Does that mean it is an "SE"?... I thought that the car salesman told me over the phone that it was a "GT". Was the salesman mistaken, or can a "GT" say "SRS" ??

Welcome to AF! The SRS on your dash stands for supplemental restraint system and has nothing to do with the model of the vehicle. You should be able to see the model by looking at the lettering on the side of the car as it should be labeled SE or GT or GTP. Or by checking the vin number.

Most people associate SRS with airbags.
