Scratch Removal Help????

A couple days ago I took my truck out in the boonies to get some handgun practice in and while I was away from my truck my stupid Doberman jumped on my rear fenders and my front fender on both sides. The scratches she left aren't huge but I am pretty depressed to have gone almost two years without any scratches as noticable as these.

On to business... anyone know of a good way to get small scratches out by hand? I'm going to stay away from a rotary buffer as I'm too scared to even go near my truck with those things. I might try an orbital buffer if people say its a good idea. Anyone know of a good rubbing compound? What grit? Thanks.

Well hopefully the scratches are only in the clear coat. I would stay away from rubbing compounds cause they can be kinda harsh, too abrasive. A random orbital polisher is fine as long as you keep it moving, same goes for any type of polisher though. I recommend trying a product by the wax shop called swir and haze remover followed by their liquid glaze. I have used it in the past and it has taken out some pretty nasty marks in the clear coat. I am sure alot more will chime in with more ideas. Good luck.

Get some rubbing compound. It helps takes out the scratches, someone dragged their fat ass on my truck all the way down to hood to tailgate,it looked like someone keyed it ,but wasn't very deep except in a few spots. I put some that on it and it somewhat went away in the lighter areas.
