Ok people bear with me please....
I own a 97 F150 4.6 L and am having some probs....
1. Last winter i pulled the motor and had the rod bearings replaced in it due tot the fact they went bad. and when i put the motor back in i got all new seals and new spark plugs and plug wires and all the goodies....well ever since this spring when i got the truck all back together i get the worst gas mileage......im talking like 7-8 mpg.....i dont know what it is , the truck seems to have power but its just sucking the gas......any ideas?
also i had a bad o 2 sensor, it was one of the rear ones behind the cat and i got that replaced thinkig it was the prob..no dice ..well a ford mechaninc told me that thos back o2 sensors dont effect ur gas mileage the ones before the cat do...the ones after the cats just make sure the cats are working.
2. last year i had transfer case probs( i have the little turn knob 4 wheel drive not the shifter on the floor)......it wouldnt stay in 4 wheel drive it would go in but as soon as u got on it it would kick out. so i had that lil actuator replaced on it and didint help......i then got a different trans case put in and it worked awesome for about 7 mnths and then it started to kick out again and now its stuck in LOW....any ideas?? thanks everyone
