Thinking of Purchasing an Aurora?

I have found a 95 Aurora w/ 173,000 miles on it for sale. It is a very sharp looking car inside and out. The only reason the owner is trying to sale the car is because the Radiator is cracked around the oil cooler lines. It is cracked pretty bad and I dont know how hard it is to R^2 the Radiator. It looks pretty simple but most times there is always a catch. I have not found to many other problems except for the steering column being a little loose and cold starting (plus the car has been sitting up for about 6 months). All the electronics work fine and seem nice for the price. But as the old saying goes, "If it sounds to good to be true...it probably isn't". I just want to hear what you all think.
Thanks in advance!!!

Why is That? Radiator to hard to fix or what? Too many miles...looks like half of the people w/ these cars gets in the late 100,000's with no major problems??? Just found out it is an Autobahn, too.

Autobahn dosen't really add much to the value. Radiator should be a simple fix.I had a small crack in the plastic header. Removed radiator (Easy) & radiator shop replaced header & tested for about $75. You need to be sure the car wasen't seriously overheated as a result of the leak.
You can spend some big bucks on these vehicles if things aren't right, ie transmission, electronics, etc.
I would seriously recommend a through checkout of the car by a Cadillac dealership.

IF its just the radiator and you can do the work yourself it's an easy fix.

Picked up my '95 with the same problem. Took it to the local dealer for a check up for $75 and got a clean bill of health on it. Got a radiator at a good price around $230 (better than locally) at radiatorbarn.com and it was not problem at all to replace, little over an hour and I was on the road. Now at 212000+ miles and she is still going strong. There are a couple of subjects in here that will fix the steering column. After setting for 6 months, a couple tanks of injector cleaner may fix the cold starting, it did mine.

Well I bought a Radiator ($225) for the car because the owner said if that does not fix it he will go ahead and pay me for the Radiator and my trouble. R2 it in about an hour...was really a piece of cake! I ran it for a hour under my carport and no leaks and the motor does not shake as if there are any misses...decided drive it around town a couple of times...I did...stop to see all was well...and it was so I drove it more... went for a hour or two cruise which was about hundred miles...car drove excellent...shifted like a wet dream and ran just as good. I think I made a good deal on it...trying to reach the guy to start the payment options. Thanks alot for your comments and help...I would still like to hear more if you want to give it...THANKS!!!
P.S. Hope to talk to you guys in other threads!!!
