where is my check engine light 98 se

the booklet wont show where it is on the dash... and when i turn the key two clicks over it will not light up a check engine light.... where is it on the 98? a pic would be great

It doesn't say "check engine", it says "service engine soon". It should be there, if not, than either the bulb is blown, or someone disconnected it.

found it ... the bulb was out on it so i switched the seatbelt bulb in for the ses light... that seatbelt light was annoying.. thanks anyway

On the '98 SE, the "service engine soon" light is located on the dash in the instrument panel, in the lower left hand corner, near the fuel gauge.
