Clunk in front end

I installed the ford torsion keys about 5,000 miles ago and recently started getting a clunk in the front end when going over bumps in the road. It was minimal at first but seems to be getting worse. I didn't crank the keys much at all. Maybe 1/2 inch over stock. Thought it may be the ball joints but they appears to be in good shape. I did notice that the front bumpstops only have about 1/2" clearance when the truck is parked. Could it be the bumpstop bottoming out?

Now I'm reading about the intermediate steering shaft but not sure that is my problem as I only feel it when I go over bumps/potholes.

Any ideas?

I would just start buy check all the front-end suspension and steering components for play. You are on track with starting at the ball joints if they show no excess play they just keep checking other components. Also my bumps stops have the same clearance so I don't think this is your problem.

I have a 2003 Reg Cab Z71, with a clunking in the front, it turned out to be when they built the truck in the factory they used some bad grease in the steering shaft, so the shaft was replaced no more noise. I did this when the truck had 8400 miles so it was covered under warranty.
