CD Player Wiring??

I got a new Sony CD player and I hooked it up with all the wiring harnesses and adapters and it came on and only my subs played. Then as most novice audio installers I got frustrated and cut up all wires (Im such a dumbass). Wiring straight from the stock harness to the CD player didn't work so I tried putting my stock one back in. But now my stock CD player won't even come on! So if anyone can tell me how to fix this or what my problems might be it would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Oh yeah its going in a 2002 Honda Civic.

if you cant reconnect the Sony wire harness to your aftermarket one, then you should get both new ones. Then, make sure you match up all of the wires correctly. are you using an amp for your front speakers? if not, then it just sounds like you mixed up the wires. if you are, make sure you run wire directly from the amp to the speakers, or you may use the stock wires, just bypass the head unit.
