I just finished putting an engine in my 87. Its a 350/TBI. the dipstick is on the driver's side. I can't for the life of me get it in place. where is the hole? It is all I need to do before I put smoke to it. I was going to put it on, but did not because I forgot. Please help, then make fun of me.

Calling peoples names won't get you much help but you might want to try feeling for the whole on from the botton in order to help pinpoint location. Are you sure it is on the driver's side? I don't know about an 87 but I have an 02 and it is on the passenger side.

My Haynes manual was showing it on the driver's side. The hole is behind the starter on the passenger side. just could not see it with all other things that were there. I did not try to offend anyone. I'll get the page and manual title and let you see what I saw. thank you for your information.

Most engines are setup to have a dipstick on either side. There is just a plug in the holes where the tube goes. It may very well still have the plug in it still.
