want 400 small block

i was talking to a friend last night and he said that the guy and his brother that i was going to buy the iroc off of ran the piss out of it and the fact it is not running so i dont know if i still want it. And my dad said that he dont want it to just sit there and waste space while i try to fix it up. so idea number 2 is that with the money i got i try to find a chevy 400 small block, and a 6 speed. im thinking that i should find a 12 bolt rearend with disc brakes and some low gears not sure on how low i want the gears though. it has to be fairly good for cruising but is going to get my butt off of the line when i need it. then after that i will probably want to stiffen the frame up and new suspension and probably traction bars. and when i get every thing in there and working properly i am going to want to pull every thing out and do all the bodywork and paint it. This will probably take a long while. so do any of you have a chevy 400 small block a 6 speed laying around that you might want to sell? if so how much?
