Would the oil use problem in my 2001 durango (5.9L) be the same as described in the 1999 TSB??? I have searched can find no info on dodge fixing the problem prior to 01. The intake gasket TSB on the 99's was issued in 2000. Any clues appreciated.

In the Dodge Pickup forum, there are many posts about the 5.9 plenum gasket leaking and causing oil consumption (among other problems). Go take a look and you may find your solution there.
