Service Engine Soon
Hi all,
My wife drives a 2001 century and the Service Engine Soon light came on today while she was idling. I went to read the code with my OBD-2 reader, and found I didn't have the same connector. Do I need a new jumper, or do I need a more up to date scanner?
Thanks,
Kevin

OBD2 connectors are standard across the industry and your reader should fit. It is possible that you need a more up to date one but I have read cars from a 96 to an 05 with my OBDII scanner.

if your scanner is a obd 2 scanner and the car is an 01 there should be no trouble but if u go to auto zone just get the code from them dont take thier advice or by there parts you will be sorry
