Its actually 4.5 qts. 5 qts is just a little too much.

put in 4 at first. then add as needed. 5 for me ended up bein past the full mark

Figure out where it's leaking...and get it fixed. Leaks get worse, and some can get worse EXTREMELY fast. I've read horror stories on 3si, where people's oil coolers were leaking, and after a short while a small leak turned into a huge burst and they lost oil pressure and spun bearings...NOT GOOD!
There is a section on hte oil cooler leaks (if you're TT) in the FAQ. Either way though..find it and get it fixed.

I experienced oil leaks getting bad fast. Thats aprt of the reason my car has sat since July. It was so bad I added 8 qts in 7 days of driving it. I had no other choice but to keep driving and adding oil. Definitely find out where its leaking. I ended up replacing cam seals, crank seal, and removed teh oil pump and made a new gasket for it.

Depend where it's leaking.
Gaskets are really cheap (Usually under $100) but if your leak is "deep" in the engine it costs a fair bit in labour if you have a mechanic do it.

its under the engine, i just cleaned the area and drove to see where exactly its dripping, its not much, its maybe 2, 3 drops of oil when the car is off, i do know ill have to take it to a mechanic, am i expecting to pay more than $300?
also, i need to know whats the right oil pressure on the gauges, right now its three lines below half way when the car is on but not moving.

If you are lucky and it's the oil pan that is leaking... Probably $150 at the most (unless you go to a dealer, then all bets are off)

it looks like its above the oil pan, i can see some oil drips under the starter

The oil pressure gauge is a POS...like many gauges in our cars. It's really hard to say where it should be, because many owners notice extremely low oil pressure on the stock gauge. Mine generally looks pretty good, but then again, I wouldn't trust anything but an aftermarket gauge. Many have found huge discrepancies when they switched to aftermarket.

that reminds me, anyone know of an aftermarket boost gauge that will fit in the stock location? How bout oil pressure?

its hard for me to read my dipstick, when the car hasnt been moved for a while and i check the dipstick, it shows that i barely have enough oil, but after driving the car it shows me that im a little over, when is the right time to check the dipstick for oil?

About 5 minutes after you shut the car off. You need to pull it out, wipe it off, insert it and pull it out again for a good reading.

thanks, i was having a hard time doing that

let it sit for a little while. if you check it right after its been run, all the oil hasnt settled back in the pan yet. it doesnt make sense that it reads higher right after you run it. Anyways, check it after it's sat for a little.

I agree... I've always heard don't check it until after 3 hours after the car's been run... that way all of the oil has had time to settle back into the oil pan... besides that... if the oil is still warm, it may have expanded some (just an assumption)... I usually check mine before I do any driving, like before cranking it in the mornings...
